Giant Pink Teddy Bear Star from recent "Modern Family" fame brings charm and pinkness to Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Giant Teddy bear Lady Cuddles is no stranger to the spotlight, and now the guest star from ABC’s Modern Family “My Hero” episode in May 2013 is bringing her pinkness to October Breast Cancer Awareness month in Texas. And she’s doing it rock and roll style.
We all remember the rumors during her stay in Hollywood of a secret romance with a bad boy rocker. Lady Cuddles always refused to comment, but those closest to her say she developed a keen interest in the drums around the same time.
Speculation continued when she was spotted speeding about on motor scooters down in Florida with her brother, Sunny Cuddles, that she might have discovered a bit of a wild streak in her demure pinkness.

While we may never know the details of who stole her heart for that brief time, Lady Cuddles is not hiding her rock and roll drumming style now!
She got a call from April Samuels, who recently founded “Breast Cancer Can Stick It!” after her own bout with Triple Negative breast cancer. April invited Lady to be the spokesbear for some fun and unique events in three Texas cities in October. Lady gladly accepted and headed down to Texas.

Lady Cuddles had barely arrived in Dallas when she was overcome with the power of the music, and the big bear rushed the stage where April and her tongue-in-cheek 80’s hair band, Metal Shop, was playing and knocked April off the drums to sit in on the set. The crowd went wild!
She had some long talks with April as they set the strategy for the Breast Cancer Can Stick It! events. April wants people to know how important early detection is. Some forms, like the Triple Negative breast cancer she was diagnosed with in October 2010, are particularly aggressive and time can mean all the difference. Triple Negative is also a form of breast cancer with more limited treatment options.
But more than that, April also wants to emphasize that getting a cancer diagnosis isn’t a death sentence. It is a challenge to be faced with strength, love and positive attitude. April said she found so much strength and power in telling breast cancer to stick it.

Lady Cuddles is ready to have big bear fun at the upcoming fundraiser concert events in Texas, starting on October 12th, where she may get a chance to drum onstage if her lessons keep going well. She’s also been in training for the Komen walk in Dallas on October 19th.

Lady Cuddles wants everyone to join her in telling Breast Cancer to Stick It. And when a six-foot giant pink teddy bear tells you something, you’d be wise to listen.
